UBUD
Tycoon and entrepreneur Richard Branson has bought a luxury hideaway in Bali.
Branson, a British citizen and the founder of the Virgin business empire, recently announced that he had bought the Panchoran Retreat in Nyuh Kuning near Ubud.
The property was previously owned by Irish designer Linda Garland, who ran it as a holiday resort.
The property has seven large villas and a swimming pool.
It is not clear whether Branson will run the property as a business or keep it for private use, but he has claimed to be a fan of Bali in recent media interviews.
“The most delightful thing about living on an island is that you’re completely in touch with nature. If you need space to think, there’s only the sound of the sea and local wildlife all around; and if you want to party, there are no neighbours nearby to complain,” he said.
