Buleleng is still waiting to get its new director of food price control, because the recruitment process is still underway, secretary of the regency legislature Ida Bagus Puja Erawan has said.

Three candidates have been put forward to the legislature. But according to the Erawan some of the applications do not have all the required details and therefore, while the list has been forwarded, it has not gone with a note of recommendation for the executive.

Erawan said the delay was not because the legislature wanted to hold up an appointment. Applicants were required to put forward their vision for the job and how they would fulfil it but some had not done this.

Another barrier is that the successful applicant will have to agree to be on probation in the post for a period before being confirmed.
