Motorbike Bandits Snatch Rp75m

DENPASAR

Bali’s infamous motorbike bandits resurfaced when two men snatched a bag containing a mobile phone and cash and securities worth Rp75 million (US$8,300) from a woman who had just left a BRI bank branch on Jl Pulau Moyo, Denpasar.

Victim Gusti Ayu Artini was leaving the bank at 11am last Monday with the securities and Rp5 million ($556) in cash when two men dressed in black and carrying a machete seized her bag.

Artini said later: “Luckily my other cash, Rp70 million ($7,800) was in my car.”

South Denpasar Police are investigating.

    Shame on you Bali Post!
Calling Gusti Ayu Artini a man and “he”!
Many indonesians make the mistake by not making the difference between he and she,but if you write for a newspaper you should know the difference netween a man and a wo-man.
