Indonesia is donating US$2 million in emergency aid to earthquake and tsunami-wrecked Japan.
“Indonesia is giving $2 million in aid to Japan to help the emergency situation as a result of the earthquake and tsunami,” Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa told reporters late on Wednesday.
“It’s still possible to provide more aid later,” he was quoted as saying by the state Antara news agency.
Indonesia will be sending a team of search and rescue experts, medical personnel and soldiers to help in the relief and rehabilitation efforts, Natalegawa said.
