BINGIN, Bali — PESO, a new Mediterranean-inspired all-day restaurant and cocktail lounge, is set to open on Jalan Buana Sari in Bingin, Pecatu, on November 13.
The venue will be spread across two levels. The ground-floor Courtyard is planned to seat around 150 guests, serving coffee and breakfast in the morning before moving into long lunches and evening tapas. Upstairs, the Cocktail Lounge will seat about 100, with a private room for 10, live jazz and DJ sets later in the week.
PESO’s kitchen will draw from Spain and the wider Mediterranean, with a menu designed for sharing. The offering will include cold and hot tapas, dishes from a wood-fired grill and larger plates for the table, while the bar will focus on cocktails built around citrus, herbs and salt.
The venue was founded by Australians Zharna Dubler and Kyle Steel. Steel has worked in hospitality in Australia and on Bali’s Bukit peninsula, while Dubler comes from agency and brand work in Sydney.
The founders say the concept grew from their first date, which lasted six hours across four venues because they could not find one place on the Bukit that worked from coffee through dinner and late drinks.
“Every venue up here is good at one hour of the day. We wanted to be good at all of them,” Steel said.
A rooftop space for sunset drinks, DJs and events is planned to open after the main venue launches.
PESO will open to the public on Friday, November 13, following a private launch event the night before.
The venue said images currently included in its press materials are artist’s impressions, as construction is still underway ahead of opening.
Further details, including booking information closer to opening, will be available at pesobali.com.
