The Franklin Lee Gallery in Jl Oberoi, Seminyak, created a stir amongst art aficionados, with the opening last month of their latest exhibition, Body Sculpture by Shanyata, who was recently dubbed “Bali’s charismatic wild child.” His Sanskrit-inspired pieces were presented on stylish hand-blown glass casts, showcasing an extraordinary talent for his craftsmanship. The opening saw some serious art buying for those in attendance, including Muriel Ydo, Mary Justice Thomasson-Croll, Jo McFarlane, Susan Johnson Bruno Piazza, Ross Peat and gallery owner Pablo Gentile’s girlfriend, Dee Mytton.
