Gentile-y Does It

Bali‘s art community came out to support one of their own last week at the unveiling of Pablo Gentile’s newest works, the latest in a series of monthly exhibitions at the Franklin Lee Gallery in Seminyak. Gallery owner and architect Ross Franklin welcomed some 120 guests, including interior designer Liv Clauss, Villa Kubu’s Dee Mytton and fashion designer Patricia Bos. Enjoying canapés and copious amounts of sangria, guests mingled whilst viewing the vibrant and mystical pieces, all of which have been donated to the gallery, which is supporting a newly formed exchange scholarship program for young Indonesian artists. Other guests included filmmaker Lawrence Blair, writer Bruce Carpenter, musician John Marciano and partner Monica, Australian footballer Albert Montello, artist Weldo and architect Hetta Thyne and the gallery’s publicist, Ann-Maree Doherty.
