Banks Close Five Days for Lebaran

Banks in Bali will be closed from October 12 to 16 to mark the Lebaran holiday, while on October 17 and 18, they will operate short hours, officials said.

Head of Bank Indonesia in Denpasar Viraguna Bagoes Oka told reporters that banks had prepared enough funds for ATMs to anticipate demand during the Muslim festivities.

Customers are encouraged to complete large transactions before or after the holiday. Small cash transactions can be done via ATMs.
