Singapore Gets Record Arrivals

SINGAPORE ~ Singapore received more visitors than ever before in the first six months of the year, the tourism board said.

From January to June, the city-state received 4.9 million visitors, up 5.2 percent from the same period a year earlier, it said in a statement.

The Singapore Tourism Board said it is confident of meeting its full-year target of 10.2 million visitors with an expected boost during the peak months of July, August and December.
