Gamelan of Gita Semara Flute, Presented Art of Water and Generation

Gamelan of Gita Semara Flute, under the composer Wayan ‘Pacet’ Sudiarsa will present a musical art in the event of Student Arts Festival ‘Kitalogini’ ISI Denpasar, Friday, October 30, 2015.

Wayan ‘Pacet’ Sudiarsa as a composer who also will play a meaningful work entitled ‘Water and Generation’. In this concert Gamelan of Gita Semara Flute will perform two songs, ‘Meong-Meong’ and ‘Banyuling’.

“In Bali, ‘sekar rare’ is songs for children’s games that once tucked educational value in it. One of them is ‘Meong-Meong’, “said Pacet, Wednesday (28/10).

He explained’Meong-Meong’ is re-arranged  adapted to the current trend of music to make public especially young generation to be interested in listening ‘Meong-Meong’. “This is done to raise awareness of the importance of noble values contained in the song, ‘he said.

While the theme of water and generation, where generation is the beginning of life and the water is the source of life. Both of these are expected to line due to nature and the environment are very influential for the quality of youth / children in its development.

Then, the next song is ‘Banyuling’, which tells about the presence of water, that its presence is very important in the continuity of life. Banyuling is like a song of water, rainfall, flow, and always heading to the lower point. With cool, clear heart and humble, at least that’s the thing that inspired the birth of ‘Banyuling’.

“Water the young generation with a soft, smooth and cool song of water in order to born strong, deep-rooted generation which holds the future and is ready to challenge the wind with strong roots  toward the blue sky, that is the the message that I want reveal in this musical art, “he said.

Pacet plays flute assisted by two persons, namely Tina and Ayucita for vocals. This musical art of Generation and Water will be performing at Nretya Mandala Open Stage, ISI Denpasar.
