“To support it, in the near future the book of Classical Balinese Painting will be launched,” said the owner of Museum of Classical Balinese Painting Art Nyoman Gunarsa in Semarapura, Klungkung, Tuesday.

A large book is expected as a key to find out what is stored in the Museum of Classical Balinese Painting he had established a dozen years ago.

That monumental work is also a media of cultural information, particularly painting to abroad.

The book which on the front is coated with silver was limited to approximately 500 copies printed. “This is a special edition to be distributed to museum worldwide, including observers and officials,” he said.

The book is expected to uncover and identifies the art of classical painting as a heritage. Because Classical paintings style of Kamasan is an extraordinary work of art.

The next generation has an obligation to preserve as well as providing the highest appreciation of the work.

Another important thing is that the book will be a means to strengthen the negotiations in struggling classical Kamasan style of painting as a world cultural heritage.

Gunarsa added, one of the reason of book’s publication  because over the last 20 years there has been no  a good quality of book-related to classical painting.

“This book can be a tool of diplomacy to UNESCO,” said Gunarsa.
