Bangli Regency Government is developing Jehem Village in Tembuku district as a tourism village in 2015 by relying on the culture and history of the village.
“This year we develop Jehem as a tourism village. The village has a traditional cave and temple that has existed since ancient times,” said Regent of Bangli Made Gianyar.
For the first phase they will do socialization related to rural tourism development includes targeting human resources who are capable in managing potential tourist village.
He explained that previously local government has 15 tourist villages, but it is not optimal due to the constraints of human resources that have not maximized the potential of tourism.
“The problem is how to build the human resources that could be tourism people,” he said.
According to him, the development of the village which is known as the center of bamboo craft will add the tourism village that has been managed in the regency.
