West Denpasar Police confiscated at least 20 bottles of liquor, including arak, in a number of places in ‘Pekat’ Operation.

According to Chief of Police Criminal Investigation Unit of West Denpasar AKP Agustiwan, the confiscation of those liquors was obtained from several sellers with no permit in five places in the West Denpasar police jurisdiction.

“During the operation lasted two weeks, we seized liquor with alcohol level above 40 percent,” AKP Agustiwan said in Denpasar on Sunday.

In the near future they will send the file to the prosecutor’s office for a misdemeanor against the four suspects. They were breaking the Denpasar City Regional Regulation on trade business of Beverages.

In addition to liquor, police also arrested a man suspected cases of gambling initials WR in Jalan Nusa Kambagan Denpasar on Thursday.

The police seized a number of items of evidence of which a cell phone and cash of Rp227 thousand. Not only alcohol and gambling, West Denpasar Police also secured a motorcycle that allegedly often used for illegal race at Jalan Mahenderadatta Denpasar.
