United States couple Tommy Schaefer and Heather Lois Mack filed a plea in the case of the murder of Sheila Ann Von Wiese in Nusa Dua, Bali.
In the trial at Denpasar District Court on Tuesday, two defendants through their legal counsels stated disagree towards the demands of public prosecutor that led to the article 340 of Criminal Code.
Iswahyudi Edi, counsel of Tommy appealed to the judges to deliver justice based on material truth that revealed in the hearing and consideration of the law by put forward a sense of truth and the defendant has regretted his actions.
“I hope the judge to give the opportunity as the defendant still young and to be given a chance to improve himself,” he said.
Likewise, Andris as defense counsel for Heather also filed a plea and appealed to the judges to relieve the defendant punishment since she’s now having a baby that should be in the care of the mother.
At the previous trial, Tommy was sued for 18 years to prison, while Heather for 15 years.
Both are accused of killing Sheila at the St. Regis Hotel, Nusa Dua.
