DENPASAR ~ The Denpasar District Court has begun to try a third man in a case of a man murdered in Denpasar on December 19, 2007, a court official said.
Made Sutama, known as Minggik, and Dewa Ngurah, alias Dewa Saraf, have already been tried and the last case, for I Wayan Sudirja, alias Yan Ketu, began on Monday.
Yan Ketu is accused of the murder of a man named Burik and the possession of a knife, and will face the possibility of the death sentence.
When he arrived at the court on Monday morning, Yan Ketu was not heavily, and was greeted by many supporters, including his wife and children.
The court was presided over by Judge Daniel Palittin, and the public prosecutor, Olopan Nainggolan, outlined what he said was a strong case against Yan Ketu, who is likely to receive at least 15 years in prison.
