KUTA ~ A 19-year-old man from Singaraja was caught stealing from a room at Sari Uma Cottages in Seminyak last Wednesday night, police said.

According to police, security guard at the cottages I Gusti Ngurah Raka, 35, received a report from a member of staff about suspicious noises coming from a room, and immediately called the police.

Raka said when he and officers from Kuta Police searched the room, they found Made Kariasa, from Lebah, Singaraja, hiding under a bed.

He said Kariasa had under the bed with him a DVD player and a small safe for guests to put valuables in.

Raka said a second man, Nengah Ariawan, 23, was arrested outside the cottages after his partner Kariasa told police he was waiting for him there.
