Seven villages in Bali do not have elementary school (SD) or equivalent education institutions based on the data of Statistic Central Bureau (BPS).
BPS head Panusunan Siregar at Denpasar Bali on Monday, said that only 99.02 village in Bali that have elementary school.
“Only two villages (28.57 percent) of which had the distance to the nearest elementary school exceeds 2 kilometers,” he said describing the results of the village potency data held in April 2014.
In Bali there are 636 villages and 80 urban villages and 57 sub-districts spread across nine regencies and one city. According to him, in accordance to junior high school (SMP) or the equivalent, have been available in all districts. But not all villages can take it in short way.
In 2014, there was village of which its distance to the nearest Junior High School excess 6 kilometers.
