TABANAN ~ A ceremony to inaugurate 40 new legislators into Tabanan’s Legislative Assembly for the period 2009 to 2014 is expected to cost more than Rp100 million ($10,000).

The inauguration, on August 5, at Tabanan’s I Ketut Maria art building, will coincide with the Hindu ceremonial day of Pagarwesi.

The proposed financial outlay for the inauguration was revealed when preparations for the inauguration and its budget were discussed at a Tabanan Electoral Commission meeting on Monday.
