Police Capture ‘Villa Robbers’

DENPASAR ~ South Denpasar Police said they have concluded a series of cases of villa and house robberies by arresting three suspects.

Police chief I Gede Ganefo said officers were surprised to discover the brains of the operation were a mother, Sri Endang, and her two children, Tesa Febriani, 19, and Ade Winata, 18.

Ganefo said there were a total of seven suspects, most of whom were very young.

During questioning, the suspects admitted to robbing nine different locations since May 2008, he said.

“Endang would invite the villa or house’s security guard to chat while the other suspects snuck into the house to commit the theft,” he said.

Ganefo said the suspects were caught whilst stealing from The Golden Villa in Sanur.

“They had taken a laptop, a watch and some foreign currency when officers entered the villa,” Ganefo said.
