TABANAN ~ Tabanan Police said they arrested a lottery organizer and three sellers in Jero village last Saturday.

Police chief Onto Cahyono said a former employee of the Tabanan Education, Youth and Sports Department, I Ketut S, was arrested for allegedly organizing and running an illegal lottery.

“We are investigating the case, but we know he is the organizer of the lottery because he has many sellers working for him,” Crime Unit chief Leo Martin Pasaribu said.

Kediri Police said, meanwhile, that they arrested Ni Wayan Sudarmini, 38, from Pangkung Nyuling village for her role as a seller for the lottery.

Pasaribu said they also seized Rp64,000 (US$5.87) in cash, lottery cards and other items during the arrests.
