DENPASAR ~ After a weeklong investigation of a warehouse fire in Nusa Dua, a man accused of setting the fire was arrested, police said.
South Kuta Police chief Nanang Prihasmoko said the fire at the warehouse on Jl. Gunung Payung Kutuh, Nusa Dua, on March 11 was first thought to be an electrical fire, but after forensic investigation was suspected to be lit on purpose.
Prihasmoko said I Ketut Tamat, 39, a family member of the warehouse owner, I Made Sudika Nadi, 37, admitted to the crime after being arrested last Friday.
Prihasmoko said Tamat claimed he was angry over the division of the inheritance left by a family member who died last year.
“We are investigating the case and making sure Tamat was not working with anyone else,” he said.
