BANGLI ~ Municipal Waterworks officers have inspected fields in Bangli to check on the lack of water in the area.

A resident of Bangli, I Kadek Mega, said on Sunday that the arrival of the officers should have signaled that water was on its way, but still there had been no change.

“This gives people a bad impression of the Waterwork’s service. It is vital that people have water. I’m glad officers from the Municipal Waterworks responded so quickly but we are still waiting now for flowing water,” said Mega.

He added that residents were still paying their water bills even when there was no water.

Another Bangli resident, I Gusti Swara, said he had to stay up all night so he could open the faucet when water finally comes.

“Out of necessity, I have to use water from the nearest river, and bathe wherever I can,” he said.
