DENPASAR ~ Thousands of people were entranced on Tuesday by a performance of classic Selonding music and dance by young school children from Karangasem.

The 90-minute performance by Elementary and Middle school students was part of the 31st annual Bali Arts Festival, which runs until July 11.

The energetic young performers of the sacred Selonding attracted an audience of all ages and drew widespread praise.

The students also presented a dramatic confrontation between the Hindu God Indra and non-believer Mayadanawa.
