Graft Course for Police

Police officers across the island are to take a compulsory course in corruption to provide them with tools and information on how best to handle cases of graft, the police chief said.

“It’s important that our officers are trained in how to deal with corruption, and we will have experts from Jakarta training them,” Bali Police chief Paulus Purwoko said on Tuesday.

Police say they are also tacking the problem of graft within its ranks, particularly over rogue officers who extorted money from motorists.
