Govt Mulls Slice of Paradise

The Bali government is considering investing in local airline Air Paradise International, as the carrier gears up for a relaunch next year after going bankrupt last November.

The airline, which had been exclusively serving the Australian market and is owned by local entrepreneur Kadek Wiranatha, is set to take to the skies again from next March, according to a company announcement.

Governor Dewa Beratha was “very interested” in investing in Air Paradise as a resumption of the airline would be a boost for Bali tourism, said Wiranatha after a meeting with the governor and other officials last week.
