GIANYAR ~ Tourism in Bali has greatly improved, with nearly 6,000 people arriving in Bali per day, Bali Governor Dewa Made Beratha said this week.
Beratha said he expected more people to arrive in Bali as two major international events were going to be held in the province, the Second Annual Conference and General Meeting of The International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities from November 21-24 and the United Nations Climate Change Conference from December 3-14.
“More than 10,000 people from all over the world are expected to participate in these international conventions,†he said in a speech marking the soft launch on Tuesday of the Bali Safari and Marine Park, the island’s latest tourist attraction.
Separately, the head of the Denpasar Tourism Office, I Putu Budiasa said that tourism in Bali has shown good recovery, with occupancy levels at hotels between 50 to 80 percent.
“We always hope for safety in Bali, so more visitors will feel secure in Bali,†he said.
