Garuda Indonesia is to maintain direct services to Bali from Australia, following the carrier’s review of the route last month.

The decision to drop Bali as an international hub and restructure Garuda’s network to operate flights via Jakarta from the East Coast had been under review since October, but the carrier said the decision was never finalized.

Developments to Garuda’s Brisbane and Auckland services are also likely to be reinstated, in April 2007, but have yet to be confirmed.
