NEGARA ~ Five people are dead following four traffic accidents within 20 hours on the notorious Denpasar-Gilimanuk road.

I Kadek Juni Astawa died on Sunday morning after the motorbike bike he was travelling on with his older sister, Ni Ketut Murtiani, 28, ran into the back of a microbus.

Astawa was flung from the bike and run over by a passing bus. Murtiani was badly injured.

Muhammed Jabil, 45, died after being taken unconscious to hospital in Negara following a head-on collision between two motorbikes and involving four people.

Both Putu Aditiya Wira Bayu, 17, and I Gede Suardiyas, 19, died after their motorbike collided with a truck.

Adtiya died at the scene while Suardiyaa died on the way to hospital in Denpasar.

I Putu Candra Regana, 23, died at the scene after the motorbike he was travelling on with I Komang Adiana, 22, collided with a car that failed to stop. Adiani suffered minor injuries.
