UBUD ~ A man from Jember, 40, a garbage collector, was found dead in a 25 meter-height ravine after allegedly slipping off the side.

His body was recovered using a rope on Wednesday.

“We retrieved the body that allegedly fell down the ravine at Blangsuh river, Ubud today,” said Ubud Police chief I Dewa Putra.

The victim had been missing from his home in Blahbatuh since last Saturday, when his son, Chairul, delivered him to find used goods in Campuhan area, Ubud.

“The victim’s child said his father had not been at home since last Saturday. When he searched around Ubud, he found that his father had died,” he said.
