Denpasar Police Traffic Unit sees that there are still many problems in resolving the problem of congestion in densely populated tourist areas in Bali such as Kuta, Legian and Seminyak.
Kasatlantas of Denpasar Police Commissioner I Nyoman Nuryana said, it was due to the growth of road and vehicle ratio which is unbalanced.
“Yes the growth of vehicles passing in Kuta is getting more and more. The length and width of roads in the region never growing,” he said when met at his office on Tuesday.
Not only that, this condition is also exacerbated by the proliferation of vehicles which sometimes takes the road as parking lot.
“In current busy hour is very influential. The density of vehicles piled up, so there was a traffic in the region,” he explained.
Based on the observation in some areas like Kuta and Seminyak many four-wheeled vehicles, especially to stop or park arbitrarily regardless the surrounding traffic.
Commercial vehicles such as taxis that pass in petitenget-seminyak mostly stopp to wait for passengers to go around.
It shows if the discipline of the driver has not been good.
