JAKARTA ~ Indonesia is scheduled to host the ASEAN Tourism Investment Forum in Bali on September 20, an official said.
“We will invite prospective investors from ASEAN and the Middle East to invest in Indonesia,” said Sambudjo Parikesit, director general for Tourist Destination Development at the Culture and Tourism Ministry, referring to the 10-nation bloc that is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Foreign investors were currently interested in tourism-related projects in Lombok and elsewhere in the country, he said, adding that feasibility studies were being conducted by the relevant companies.
