Vice Governor of Bali I Ketut Sudikerta asked the manager of Ngurah Rai International Airport to add surveillance camera or CCTV, particularly in areas that handle passenger’s goods.
“I ask for more CCTV to monitor goods of passenger to avoid unwanted things happened,” said Sudikerta in Denpasar, on Sunday.
According to him, based on the results of unannounced inspections carried out by him, accompanied by several ranks Unit (SKPD) some time ago at the area, they found that the management of PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai International Airport has not yet completed the presence of CCTV.
“I don’t see any CCTV yet. It is important to ease an access to know if there are people who cheating,” he said.
On several occasions, the former Vice Regent of Badung paid attention to the service of the busiest airport in the country.
Besides the addition of CCTV, previously he also appealed to the airport manager in order to put the Balinese welcome greeting, “‘Om Swastyastu’, Welcome to Ngurah Rai Airport” in both domestic and international arrivals.
While related to the abolition of ticket counter, Sudikerta supported the central government’s measures to curb the airport area.
“It is already good and need to be optimized,” he added.
Transportation Minister Ignatius Jonan previously issued regulation since Desember 2014 related suppression of the ticket counter at the airport.
