The Ministry of Tourism to facilitate hotels in Bali in targeting big corporate in the country to develop the tourism industry after the ban to hold meeting at hotel for government agencies.
“We try to find solutions to drive corporate meetings to the tourism industry for MICE (meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition) industry,” said Director of MICE and Promotion of Special Interest of Tourism Ministry Rizki Handayani in Denpasar on Wednesday.
He explained that on 7-9 May 2015 in Surabaya will be held activities that invite hoteliers and major corporations in the country.
Chairman of Society of Indonesian Professional Convention Organizer (SIPCO) Putu Juarez Robin Putra explained that approximately 83 large corporations from a number of national companies will take part in the meeting.
“We applaud the Government that give quick response so that hotel could switch their strategy to target the corporate market which is difficult to be reached but through the government role to invite them as buyer in the event of a convention or MICE tourism promotion it would be easier,” he said.
