The Bali silver jewelry artisans have created a wide range of accessories as preparation for the arrival of tourists who are going to celebrate Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015 on the island.

“Accessories made from gold and silver combined with leather, manufactured in the form of various of necklaces, bracelets and type of frangipani flowers, birds, butterflies. Those are adapted to the tastes of young people today,” said Made Mustika, a craftsman who are also entrepreneurs on Saturday.

He produces the accessories with the design that are adjusted to tourists’ tastes and at affordable prices.

Artisans and small businesses, he said, must strive to face the stiff competition with emerging art shops that sell Balinese typical handicrafts, scattered in various locations in Bali.

Silver jewelry commonly used by foreign tourists while on holiday in Bali, is also in demand for purchased by local or Indonesian travelers.

The stock for beach cloth is also doubled as anticipation to the coming local travelers from big cities in Java such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and some even come from Sumatra.

Price of cloth and goods to welcome the new year are adjusted based on the quality of the goods produced, which ranged between Rp150,000 – Rp250,000 per sheet of cloth beach, meanwhile painting cost Rp250,000 in average depending on the size and raw materials.
