Bali Province began to carry out a feasibility study related to the development plan of mega toll road project linking South Bali and North Bali through Denpasar-Gilimanuk route.
“The feasibility study is begun this year. There are seven points that we will build, “said Deputy Governor of Bali I Ketut Sudikerta in Denpasar on Tuesday.
According to him, the seven points are located at the four toll roads include Kuta-Canggu-Tanah Lot-Soka, Soka-Pekutatan Pekutatan-Gilimanuk and Pekutatan-Lovina.
PT Waskita as one of BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) in Indonesia previously has conducted presentation of a pre-feasibility study in front of Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika.
The road that will connect the South to the North Bali Bali is expected to provide a high impact on economic growth and economy equity on the island.
“We expect this can create jobs and boost economic growth,” said that former Vice Regent of Badung.
The toll is predicted to have a total length about 156.7 kilometers with the cost of construction of trillions of rupiah.
The contractor had previously conducted a survey in order to complete the pre-feasibility study, focused on the analysis of the development of the region, traffic projections, the selection of the route with a review of the environmental aspects, costs and technical, construction cost, economic analysis and financial analysis.
