Foreign-trade handicrafts and non-oil from Bali to Australia is running bright and experience a significant increase, despite the economic turbelensi.
“The increase in our non-oil exports was in line with the growth of foreign tourists from the land of kangaroos it to the island,” said Head of Foreign Trade, Disperindag Bali Province, Made Suastika in Denpasar, on Saturday (10/03/2015).
He said non-oil foreign exchange earnings of Bali to Australia rose 25.55% in line with the increasing number of tourists to the neighboring country here, for the tourism sector a significant effect on the increase in the export trade.
Realization of non-oil exports of various goods from Bali to Australia during the eight-month period from January to August 2015 worth 35.2 million US dollars, an increase when compared to the same period in 2014 for 28.1 million dollars.
Made Suastika explains, increased foreign trade was highly influential on foreign tourist arrivals to Bali, especially from the land of kangaroos, because there are businessman or importers as the travelers.
At least 5% of foreign tourists who travel to the island is estimated as businessman, who most likely do the transaction in the form of various goods orders of souvenirs in form of accessories.
Bali Tourism Office reported, foreign tourists who vacation in this area by flying directly from their country to Bali reached 2,599,509 people during the period of January-August 2015.
From the data turned out that Australian tourists is the highest and in the first place as many as 625 413 people, followed by China 489 233 people and Japan in amount of 143 065 people.
