The Northwest sector of a building relates to the mentor luck and ushers in supportive people, attracts clients, employees and mentors too. This sector also relates to travel luck, hence enhancing the sector intelligently could not only bring in mentor support but also ample opportunities to travel.
Northwest sector can also be activated to seek support of mentors for spiritual guidance, spiritual developments and bring in support of people more powerful than you along with all the assistance and support from them. This sector can also help in improving relationship with friends and neighbors at home and with colleagues at work.
In Feng shui the direction Northwest is ruled by Metal and relates to the patriarch hence kitchen or toilets at exactly Northwest corner of the property is considered bad and needs to be remedied. 3. Place a metal décor or artifact which is round in shape at Northwest.
4. As earth produces metal in the five element cycle of feng shui, placing crystals at NW corner will empower the sector.
5. Suspend 6 faceted crystals at NW corner of the room or place six smooth crystal balls at NW.

To activate travel luck one can follow any of the remedies:
a. Place objects or even brochures of countries or places you wish to go to at Northwest.
b. Keep the Northwest sector of each of the rooms and the house completely clean o ensure that the travel luck and networking luck is smooth.
c. Place 6 i-ching coins in a metal bowl at northwest.
d. Place six Sea shells in a metal plate at the Northwest corner of the living room.
The Northwest sector can be enhanced through colors and furnishings too. Having shades of grey, white, silver and pale yellow in the form of wall colors or furnishings preferably with round motifs or designs are considered good.
