
Eyes in the Sky: London may have its eye, and Singapore may be getting its next year – but now Bali has one of its own, in the towering shape of this fixed balloon in Nusa Dua, which has just opened to the public, allowing a bird’s eye view of the surrounding areas. The helium-filled Bali Eye cost Rp20 billion (US$2.1 million), largely from South Korean investment, and at US$25 for adults and $15 for children, passengers are sent 100 meters into the air for a 15-minute panoramic thrill, marketing manager Ida Bagus Mahatma told The Bali Times.
