Alluring: The Neka Art Museum in Ubud unveils a retrospective of one of Bali’s most famous artists, Abdul Aziz, on December 8. The late Java-born, Italian-educated Bali resident, most famous for this work, the concept of which is known as the “Mona Lisa of Bali,” devised a 3-D technique that makes his subjects appear to stand out from the frame. The Abdul Aziz Retrospective Exhibition runs through January 13, featuring works that have never before been seen in public, the organizers said.
