Vine Country: The tropics are not usually associated as a place for grape-growing, but with the rich volcanic soil of northern Bali, as here, near the bustling market town of Seririt, several wineries are now producing award-winning local reds, whites and rosés, which retail for a fraction of the cost of imported wines. The harvest from this vineyard, however, is destined for a spirit-maker in Malang, East Java.
