Exhilaration: Winning competitor Putu Eka netted Rp5 million (US$549) for his soaring antics at the 2006 Hot Air Kitesurfing competition in Sanur, southern Bali, at the weekend. The event was organized by Stiff Chilli restaurants and the Blue Oasis Beach Club, and featured a range of disciplines in the fast-emerging watersport. Sanur native Eka was the overall winner, based on event wins and the people’s choice.
