Picture Perfect: The tourist beach on Serangan Island does not get many visitors, and the shacks lining them that sell basic local dishes and cold drinks are often empty. Arid and barren Serangan, reached by a toll road off Jl. Bypass Sanur, is slowly undergoing a transformation, however, with a re-greening of the islet currently underway that has seen parts of it fenced off to protect young saplings.
