Holy Land: At Tampak Siring in central Bali, there is an unending stream of Hindu visitors – and people of various creeds from around the world – who come to immerse themselves in cleansing rituals to rid themselves of any problems or ills they may be facing, or just simply to feel blessed and purified. Outside the main temple area, vendors do a brisk trade in plastic jerrycans to scoop up and take home some sacred water.
