A ferry traveling from Bali to neighboring Lombok caught fire last Saturday shortly after leaving Padang Bai harbor, port officials said.

The fire started in the KMP Nusa Bhakti’s engine room, prompting the captain to swiftly run the craft aground on the shore of nearby Bugbug village.

Almost 100 passengers were aboard the vessel, as well as vehicles including trucks, cars and motorcycles. No one was reported injured in the incident.
