DENPASAR ~ The Chinese Indonesian Society, Inti Bali, plans to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Bali’s capital next Monday, a representative said.
Leader of Inti Bali Cahaya Wirawan Hadi said 36 organizations from Inti Bali would be celebrating the Year of the Ox in Denpasar.
Wirawan Hadi said there would be Indonesian Chinese traditional dances and shows, as well as performances from other cultures.
He said the event would be a show of their hope for a united and harmonious Indonesia, where cultures and religions can live together.
As well as performances, Hadi said, Inti Bali would also be donating time and money to flood victims in Denpasar, and planting trees in Badung Cemetery.
