GIANYAR ~ Gianyar’s Legal office named the suspect in an ongoing corruption case last week as the chief of Medahan village, I Ketut Sudiarta, an official said.

According to the chief attorney, Sudiarta is accused of embezzling Rp80 million (US$7,250) from two companies in the village.

Sudiarta was found to have taken fees paid from a concrete and glass company, as well as one other company, instead of paying it into a village account.

“All of the suspects’ bank accounts have been blocked,” Yulianta said.
