Peace of Ubud

Peace of Ubud

Must mention the stunning photographic and painting exhibition called Peace by Bundhowi at the Alila Ubud last week. Some 150 guests, including Seniwati Gallery’s Mary Northmore, Wina gallery’s Antonius Kho, Hello Bali’s Jill Gocher, Rana Helmi and Pranoto Gallery owner Kerry Pranato, gathered to examine the works of the talented artist and lensman which depict the earthquake-hit city of Yogyakarta. The pieces reflect the spiritual resilience and rebuilding of the devastated area that affected the lives of so many. The exhibit, which shows until April, was launched in the usual inimitable Alila style and guests enjoyed a delectable assortment of canapés, including chicken salad on a lotus petal, squid skewers and strawberries marinated in grey goose vodka with green tea and icing sugar, as well as rum-sprayed frozen pina coladas.
