Hotel Reported over ‘Double Guests’

KUTA ~ A hotel guest from Jakarta reported the management of the Harris Hotel to Kuta Police when he found a room he had booked was occupied by another guest, an official said.

Tommy Paat said on Monday he had booked a room at the hotel for the December 27 to 30, and had transferred around Rp3 million (US $266).

According to Paat, he and his family stayed on Saturday night, but when they returned after a trip out on Sunday, they found their room was locked.

Paat said he was then let into the room by hotel staff, but was startled to find another guest in the room.

“I feel that I have been deceived and embarrassed on my vacation to Bali,” Paat said.

It was not immediately clear from hotel management what the reason for the apparent mix-up was.
