A True Balinese Masterpiece: Following closely in the footsteps of his late father, Spanish painter Antonio, Mario Blanco has made his own mark on the Bali art world with masterpieces such as this that are strongly evocative of the great European masters, The Balinese Lamp, Green Bottle and Nude in My Studio, from 2007, currently on show – including with its ornate gamelan frame redolent of Antonio – at the Blanco Renaissance Museum in Ubud.
