DENPASAR ~ A 3-year-old boy was found dead in a hotel swimming pool in Sidakarya, Denpasar, on Tuesday, a Sanglah Hospital official said.

Komang Ngurah Prayoga from Banjar Suwung Kangin is said to have slipped and fallen into the pool while playing with his friends.

At Sanglah Hospital, a member of Prayoga’s family, Nyoman Sarta, said Prayoga’s body was found floating in the pool by people in the hotel area and that he thought that the swimming pool was no longer in use.

According to a hospital representative, Prayoga’s body arrived at Sanglah Hospital around 11:45am, where doctors attempted to revive him.

Grief-stricken family members were allowed to collect the body of the child for burial the same day.
